Delta Township is a growing community of over 31,000 residents
with
population growth of 4.38 percent. The Township's eastern border
runs along the Capital City of Lansing while its western border
includes the rich farming land of Grand Ledge and the Eaton County
countryside. Though Delta's heritage is rural, the Township has
evolved into a sophisticated, carefully planned urban setting with
some of the Lansing areas best shopping and services.
Delta Township's major shopping
districts include the Lansing Mall and the Marketplace of Delta
Township. Just about anything can be found at these two locations.
Another popular shopping location is Horrock's Farm Market across from
the Township administration building.
The Township’s two main public school
districts are Grand Ledge Public Schools and Waverly Community
Schools.
Some areas of the Township are also served by Holt Public Schools
and Lansing Public Schools. Many school buildings are physically
located within the Township, including Waverly High School, Waverly
Middle School, Grand Ledge’s Hayes Middle School, four elementary
schools and four private parochial schools.
